Thank you Thani for starting up this thread. but may be i can add to it

in addition of the site that you provided, there is another site that seals phone cards that DOESN'T need any registration, you just simply select the card you want to purchase, check out and then pay for it. after a max. of 10 minutes they will send you the PIN number so you can start using it right away.

In this site you get discount in the majority of the cards and in some of theM you get extra credit on it.

Also, note that if you call a mobile in Qatar you will get less minutes than if you called a normal phone.

Finally, some recommendation for Qatar:

I see that the best cards for Qatar are iPhone, Story Middle East, and American 1st:

iPhone:
Mobile: 128 minutes
Phone: 168 minutes

Story:
Mobile: 116 minutes
Phone: 145 minutes

American 1st:
Mobile: 90 minutes
Phone: 114 minutes

So, Unity isn't the best any more :)

اولا:تضرب الرقم الي تبيه في الدوحه طبعا مع فتح الخط.
ثانيا:اظغط على الاتصال واول ما يرن التلفون الي اتصلت له

Mohammed: may be it's a good idea to try my site rather than thani's because no registration process is involved.

I just want to give you small tips regarding the pre-paid phone cards, I apologize for those who already know these tips (may be the majority do):

1- In order to use the phone card, you have to first call a number where you will be prompted to enter your PIN number. You have the choice to call one of three numbers before entering your PIN. These numbers differ between the cards, but all of them have the same starting. For example:

0845....
0800....
0207....

PLEASE NOTE that the amount of minutes that you will get is different if you called 0845... or 0800... or 0207... for example, if you have 20 pounds credit, 0845 may give you 120 minutes for it, 0800… will give you 100 minutes and 0207… will give you 90 minutes.

So always dial the number that begins with 0845 because it gives you the best amount of minutes.

2- it's a hassle to keep entering the PIN number each time you want to make a call, specially that the PIN number is always complicated and very hard to memorize. There is away to get over this though.

You can permanently save the PIN number along with the number you dial before it, so you enter it once and work forever until the card expires.

first enter the number of the operator (e.g. 08452002693) then make three successive hits on the * button in your phone so you get the sign 'p' which is the short for 'Pause' and finally enter your PIN and save it.

So at the end you will save a number looks like: 08452002693p78766453 (where 78766453 is the PIN). Now by calling this number, first you will be calling 08452002693 then the phone will pause for a couple of seconds waiting for the operator to connect and finally it will automatically enter your PIN for you


I apologize for the long letter, i hope i successfully explained my tips (which as i said may be known for many)

Sorry Mohammed, i just mentioned the minutes and forgot to indicate the prices. All the minutes statistics i provided in my previous reply were based on the 20 pounds credit cards. here is a more elaborated a copy:

iPhone:
Mobile: ₤ 20 = 128 minutes, ₤ 10 = 64 minutes, ₤ 5 = 32 minutes
Phone: ₤ 20 = 168 minutes, ₤ 10 = 84 minutes, ₤ 5 = 42 minutes

Story:
Mobile: ₤ 20 = 116 minutes, ₤ 10 = 40 minutes, ₤ 5 = 20 minutes
Phone: ₤ 20 = 145 minutes, ₤ 10 = 50 minutes, ₤ 5 = 25 minutes

American 1st:
Mobile: ₤ 20 = 90 minutes, ₤ 10 = 36 minutes, ₤ 5 = 18 minutes
Phone: ₤ 20 = 115 minutes, ₤ 10 = 46 minutes, ₤ 5 = 23 minutes

Also note that it doesn't neccassrily cost you 20 pounds to pay a 20 pounds credit card, there is discount in somc cards
