Education City Social Committee
What it is:
The Education City Social Committee (ECSC) would consist of 5 representatives from all the sister institutes here at Education City. Its job would be to organize social events for the students such as concerts, parties, formal dinners, movie nights, freshmen orientation etc. This project is independent of all the universities, and will not come under the leadership of any of the student governments, although their assistance will be required later on when the events start.
Once this committee has been formed, we would also like to approach Qatar Foundation about having this committee formalized, and to see if we can receive funding from them. Furthermore if it at all possible, we would create this committee by the end of this semester so as to start planning these events for next semester. We would like to have a meeting with the interested students as soon as possible by next week maybe to discuss further details.
